Michelle Teran, a professor at the Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKA) and a member of the study group, led the presentation, which was framed as a workshop activating practices from their new publication Promiscuous Infrastructures: Practicing Care

The presentation addressed key questions from the group’s research:

  • How can we practice infrastructural care differently?
  • How do we care for each other in our learning and working lives?
  • What are the scales and proximities of how we care?

The conference theme for 2024 was “Power in Transformation”, focusing on how power shapes societies and ecosystems, and how design and art can contribute to more just power relations amidst social-ecological crises.
